Raquel Tavares

On November 14, Raquel Tavares takes the stage at Casino Vilamoura for an exciting evening, marked by her return to fado and the unique power of her voice.
After a break from her musical career, during which she explored new paths in communication and acting, Raquel Tavares is back and preparing a new album, now returning to what has always been her great love: fado.
Singing since the age of 7, Raquel released her self-titled debut album in 2006, which earned her the Amália Rodrigues Award for “Female Revelation.” Two years later, she released Bairro (2008), a work highly acclaimed by critics and the public. In 2016, she presented Raquel — which includes the hit “Meu Amor de Longe” (with over 14 million views on YouTube) — and, the very next year, released Roberto Carlos por Raquel Tavares, which reached platinum status within a few months and earned her a Golden Globe for “Best Performer” in 2017.
In 2023, the longing for the stage spoke louder, and she accepted the challenge of the prestigious International Fado Festival — where she had previously performed alongside names like Carlos do Carmo and Camané, among others — performing in Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville.
Last year, she returned to the stages and, besides Portugal, Raquel Tavares toured Latin America.
